The land of the free

Vishen knows how to make my day, and does it when I need it most. Just as I was becoming sad and miserable about leaving Edinburgh for good, he sent me a link to this wonderful article – virtually and ode to Estonia. It is music to my ears and I want to share it with everyone.

“Economists call Estonia the Baltic Tiger, the sequel to the Celtic Tiger as Europe’s success story, and its policies are more radical than Ireland’s. On this year’s State of World Liberty Index, a ranking of countries by their economic and political freedom, Estonia is in first place, just ahead of Ireland and seven places ahead of the U.S.”

I've only just skimmed that article so far, but it appears to leave out one of the best reasons to love Estonia that I know of! Not only are you and the other Estonians I know of great, but even your President seems cool... I contrast that with mine and sigh with dismay.

Anyways, best wishes from Edinburgh, and I do hope you're having a blast at home! While Edinburgh as a whole certainly misses you, I'm sure your friends and family are ecstatic to see you.. enjoy your time there, and my best to you, Vishen and your family. :)

congrats girl, I think Estonia is the country Georgia should look up as an excellent example. I hope my country will follow the footsteps of yours sooner then some of our common neighbours think. :) miss you so much. yours, ninichka. xoxox
